Watched this tonight and it was awesome, 95 miles of climbing, climbing and some more climbing !!

Will have to seriously look out for this next year and add it to the calendar.

I've had climbing holidays in Scotland in May or September when it's been hot and dry and sunburn has been the biggest worry. Also water when you are hacking along the top of some mountain ridge with not a stream in sight. On the Cullin ridge traverse people even climb up the day before to stash bottles of water along the route.

My mum comes from near Oban so we used to have our summer holidays up there every year and we'd often stay for 6 weeks. I remember one miserable summer where it poured with rain every single day we were there! We had a couple of fantastic years where the sun shone every day.

I enjoyed the program - and just seeing normal cyclists (ok slightly mad in that rain!!!!) on a TV program.

Yip, there is never a year goes past that we don't get :rain: .

I looked out of the window yesterday afternoon and it was dark and grey like it was winter and about to get dark.*

Annyway, having been a steward on the '70 wild miles' triathalon in June, I thought I genuinely recognised some of the people being interviewed.

* - I'm about the last person on the planet who will EVER have SAD though - to me weather is weather so stop moaning about it!
