I have a 29" inside leg (according to M&S trousers) and the short Kiwis are perfect, the medium are about 2" too long but easy to turn up for the right price.

Not from personal experience, but I've heard Endura Hummvees are good. Not cheap though.

Look good. I sent for a pair and had to return them as their 'sizing chart' was way off, suggesting they'd easily fit me when they didn't come close.

Craghoppers do cargo shorts and trousers, quick drying too. I have the shorts for summer where lycra isn't wanted (eg shopping). Remember some trouser clips or ties!
