Was just a wild guess, I will pass on the prize as Wellingborough is a little too far for me
What you need is a helmet with a fully removeable lining /padding like mine, get home from a ride all sweaty, remove helmet lining and throw in the washer, refit lining when dry and fresh ready for the next ride.

I don't wear a helmet usually, so I was at a disadvantage. I still reckon my 'ice' theory stands up to both reason and scrutiny.
