Vernon, I know from my own experience that 100% of my crashes have been the other party's fault .... the lorry driver probably "didn't see" the cyclist, which is a good enough defence it seems

It must be great to be perfect but humans are variable in their quality of construction and judgements and I'd not place a lot of reliance upon your inference that the subset of humanity that ride cycles are 100% blame free in all of their crashes.

I know the Port of Tyne roundabout very well and it's a nightmare to navigate. It's one of the few roundabouts that would actually benefit from having lights to control traffic flow. It sits on one of the main arterial roads into South Shields and anyone trying to get onto the roundabout from the Port faces long delays at busy times.

There is a cycle path running parallel to the road that cuts out the need to cross the roundabout and it's one cycle path that I always use.

You weren't involved in this one so you don't know what happened.

The truck driver is a human being too, and to make a judgement of blame based on nothing more than a cyclist was killed in the accident is infantile.
