Cyclist "doored" nr Winn Gardens, Sheffield

One last chance but are there any witnesses out there that saw the cyclist hit by the passenger opening the door onto her outside Winn Gardens going into town from Oughtibridge. Car was moving in slow traffic - cyclist going down inside - just after cycle lane finishes and after pedestrian crossing across from the junction for Wadsley Gardens. Car stopped and door swung open Tuesday 9 November 2010 at approximately 8.30 am. Car driver (after passenger kept going up to cyclist - 3 times in total) managed to put indicator on and pull into kerb so as not to be in the way of traffic behind! If only he had done that in the first place! Any witnesses at all to this please?

Correct me if i am wrong but does the highway code not say that you should pass parked vehicle at least one door width away

They are wrong but I find it ironic in a way, the amount of folk who usually complain you are too far out, you should be in the door zone/ gutter
