+1 Theres room for all without cycling on the track part, but as sparkyman says its busy in season but still safer than near the trams.the new ones are quiet so you may not hear them behind you
Hope the cyclist comes through ok

Terribly sad story. Trams and bicycles do not mix. Not even a little bit.

I used to race trams from Ilidza (the western end of the tram line) to the centre of Sarajevo. Trams were faster, but I didn't have to stop, so I usually caught the tram two in front of my 'starting partner'.

Towards the city centre, the trams left the central reservation and clanked across to the kerbside, into the traffic lane. Many, many times I had my race head on and nearly went elbows at a tram. It is a silly, silly thing to do.

I hope the cyclist gets well soon and the tram driver isn't too freaked. Speaking as a fool who has done it, I strongly advice all readers not to ride near tram rails.
