It's OK, guys. I'm on the case, and I've complained to the Met about the plastic policeman (though I forgot to mention his response to my pointing out the possibility of forward-facing CCTV). I've put together an account of what happened, and sent the salient parts to TfL via their bus complaints webpage.
I made it clear to the PC attending that I felt there should be charges for assault and for careless driving.
Let's see what happens from that lot. It would be helped if the rider could be traced, of course, and he could make a statement about his experience.
