Cyclists in a car park - chav's on BSO's then

With the almost total lack of information about the incident it seems to me that it should not have been included in any news outlet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!

I totally agree.

Recently a young local girl (pedestrian) was killed in an accident involving a car, yet the news report stated 'she collided with a car'.
Told me nothing really, but put the onus on the girl being at fault. As it turned out, the driver was arrested for that one a few days later for dangerous driving.

If they can't report what actually happened, then they should at least balance the report.

[sub]Not much to go on at all. Neither can I find any other news report. Only local observation is that Weston Favell is not the most salubrious bit of Northampton!! [/sub]

true, but it will add credence to the myth that cyclists are dangerous superbeings, which isn't entirely a bad thing

My bad...

After a ride out to Derbyshire on my way into work I must remember to change into my trackie and wear my bling before going shopping for my breakfast and lunch.

Didn't realise it was necessary

I must remember when I see the other regular cyclist there locking up his bike to say "wassup blud" or whatever instead of a cheery "morning"

Anyone on this website whilst sitting atop a bike could reasonably be presumed to be a cyclist but to refer to everyone who happens to be on a bike as 'cyclists' is a tad presumptious. You see yobs on those BMXs, hoods up, too big for bike; they are NOT cyclists, they just happen to be mooching around on a bike. If I'm walking in a park and a miskicked ball crosses my path and I boot it back to the lads it belongs to, am I a footballer?
