Missed it; is it worth catching it on iplayer later?
Gaz, which bit was your video?
They didn't use any of my stuff.![]()
Rather than showing loads of cyclists jumping red lights they could have used some of my undertaking left turning lorries/busses and actually said something EDUCATIONAL to silly cyclists!!
But on the plus side, what Martin and the officer that runs road safe had to say was spot on!
It is regrettable that rather harsh words such as the "war" between cyclists and motorists, and cyclists "fighting back" were used. The end comment about drivers and cyclists learning to live side-by-side defused the issue a little. I was pleased to see that the programme put more emphasis on bad driving skills, than on bad behaviour from cyclists. Much of it was video clips taken of potentially lethal situations. - so much so, that my stomach curled after seeing each bad manoevre. One thing I would have liked the programme to have pointed out was that when a motorist does something stupid, someone else could get killed; when a cyclist jumps a red light, he has only himself to blame if he is hurt (or worse); a car is a lethal weapon; a bicycle (as far as I am aware) has not yet killed anyone. I hope this programme is the beginning: of cyclists being presented in the news in a fairer light.
Missed it. And it doesn't seem to be available on iPlayer. Does anyone have another link?
