I've got a couple of weeks off work coming up so god help anyone foolish enough to try to engage with me on the way to work this week. Or at work for that matter.

i to find it bleedin' scary, riding home from a manual labour job so i am knackered and wearing full ex military gear and have a 35 litre backpack on and whilst i am plodding alone suddenly comes a roadie in full lycra flying past and shouts helooo. i think he might have guessed i was a proper cyclist normally as i was in clipless, but i was still surprised by what a damn friendly and sociable bunch the world is these days!
Cheers Ed

Here for rides.
The other one was a bloke who started talking to me as I cycled around Parliament Square and started giving me the happy bunny 'aren't we a great golly good cycling community all happy-wappy on the road to green consciousness and the road to smug cycling Heaven'.

He got the blank.
As soon as one of these muppets, primarily an urban well-paid-job-in-town species, says "we", like I'm his blood brother or something, I simply say "There is no "we" mate, there is no "us"" and ride away shaking my head. Nobbers.

Please may I have a full and proper description of your sad, miserable self so, if and when I ever get near Welling ... I can be sure and ignore you?
And be quick man ... I may sneak down there and, heaven forbid, smile ... and be nice ... in a northern sort of way.
And that would never do ... would it?
Oh, and :hello:
Peace and love, man.
Geoff x

Perhaps I need a Tshirt with Linux on the front and Nobber on the back

Just to ensure people say hello

Oh my God. I've just had a thought.
You're not comin' anywhere near the beautiful Peak District while you're off work ... are you?
And I still don't know what you look like.
Ohhhh my God!
