Looks like Brand is going to run away with this now which is disappointing as an Alvarado fan but she’s been the top riders all season albeit in the absence of some of the other top riders so it feels justified.
Afaik Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado (admittingly I'm a fan of her, too) suffered from injuries and or illness at the start of the season.
Lucinda Brand has the mental and physical strength to push after her crash (which seems to me that she hit the ground fairly hard and had pains afterwards) - so it's definitively deserved and the well-earned crowning of her season.

Marion Norbert Riberolle was on the ground some time later, holding her head. Perhaps a concussion due that crash.
From my own experience with a concussion after a crash I know that it is possible to do something very stupid.
Hopefully all riders are well again after their crashes.
