Many of you will remember the famous story of this man who in 1971 hijacked a 727 airliner claiming he had a bomb and demanded a $1.2 million (in today’s money) ransome and when he got it parachuted out of the plane.
He was never caught and the FBI dropped its investigation due to lack of evidence a few years ago claiming he’d probably died in the forest where he landed from exposure or shortly after. No body was ever found.
A letter sent a newspaper allegedly from Cooper containing coded numbers are now claimed to link his identity to a Vietnam vet and ex CIA operative called Rackstraw.
