Its de rigeur of recent years for every large company to have a daft catchphrase. For example:
Honda - The power of dreams.
Barclays Bank - By your side.
Peugeot - Motion and emotion.
They sound, to my ear at least, daft and contrived, and do nothing whatsoever to sell the product or service to me. More descriptive and honest catchphrases might serve them better. For example:
Ford - Reasonably priced everyday cars for regular people.
Canyon - Mass produced bicycles with no middle man.
My Hermes - Parcels delivered by a Ukrainian ex-Spetznatz trooper, and used as a football in the warehouse yard.
So, any examples of daft or clichéd straplines, or suggestions for better ones?
