

People might try and avoid buying a ticket for their dog, and hide the dog! But the ticket was £1 and was really a sort of insurance requirement. A basket with a coat over it, and the coat sort of moving, usually gave the game away somewhat.

Can you take dogs on public transport like buses and trains and do you have to pay for them if you can?
