Dam shoulder pain.

For about a week or so now, I have been getting really bad pains in both my shoulders. Its a big problem because the only way I can sleep is on my side.

Has anyone else suffered from this and how was it treated by the Doc's?

I have an appointment with the Doctors on Wednesday, so hopefully I can get it treated.

Sounds like a frozen shoulder to me - they will just prescribe rest(mine took a month to get back to normal).

It's because you've got a bad mattress. Try sleeping on the floor for a week and you'll see what I mean.

You have my sympathy.. I have sciatica which is ruining my riding as I have pain in my knee from it.... grrrrrrr

Sometimes back problems are from dodgy mattresses but usually I think it is just a slip or bump and the spine gets a jolt, the pelvis or neck can get out of straight and a pinched nerve occurs through inflammation causing frozen shoulders etc. I usually see a chiropractor and get my leg pulled as I often have a dodgy lower back and can feel one leg is swinging more than the other.. if you know what I mean

If you have done a long ride or radically changed your riding position that might cause neck or shoulder problems. Your quack will probably give you anti inflammatory pills and if you are lucky will show you some simple exercises to ease things up. My doc is great at the sports injury stuff as he is into sport and gets damaged himself.....

Have you been typing more than usual?

I had problems like that so had to learn to touch type. With hands in one position resting on table instead of arms hovering it goes away.
