Glad to hear Mrs 26 is on the mend.

If the dog owner has pet insurance, it will almost certainly include 3rd party liability cover for events like this - our pet insurance does. Equally they may well have cover under their house insurance.

Possibly worth a chat with them as they may have no idea of the costs involved for repairing / replacing the damaged stuff, and go from there.

it can get a bit nasty. On the insurance front dog owners are required by law to hold 3rd partly cover so that's an option for a claim.
Registered dog walkers are required to have insurance. Dog owners per-se are not legally required to have 3rd party insurance, unless the dog goes into a work place on a regular basis.
