I was only basing my comments about the weather from seeing the male participants.

I did the London ride this year, and I really enjoyed it: we went past several landmarks (e.g. Big Ben, IMAX), and moved at a decent pace. I've driven through central London a few times before, and there are various words to describe it, but "fun" isn't one of them! So, hopefully some of the people who saw us will at least consider riding a bike instead of automatically using a car as the default option for journeys.

(I should add that I'm all for it, but don't fancy a night in a cell!)

The police are really great about it: they had cyclists out with us, and they used their vehicles to block off the roads to other traffic. That was something that struck me on the day, particularly when I had to share the road with cars again on my way back to Victoria: it would be so nice if London was a car-free zone every day! (Probably impractical, but I can dream...) I think it helps that the WNBR organisers liaise with the police in advance, rather than surprising them on the day.

I did both the London one and the Brighton one this year. It was great fun.

I think there was somebody who came off on the Park Road section of the ride this year from what I have heard.

I bet the police cyclists felt a bit overdressed for the occasion

Ok, I'll say it, I think its gross. Who wants to see a load of naked people (most of them overweight and unatractive IMO) I might add (i fall into that bracket too before you start). I dont understand why its NAKED? Ok naked beaches and nudist camps fine, but through the streets of a city WHY? Its also another reason to label cyclists as wacky and silly therefore not to be taken seriously.
Could you imagine if it was commute to work naked day, it would be stopped. Just because its done on mass dosnt make it right.
I have seen pictures of these rides and really wished I could unsee them

Just to clarify, I dont think it shoud be stopped or banned as people should be free to do it, I just dont like it!!
