Wouldn't it be fantastic for the development of pollution-free cars if motorsport's biggest competitors, like Ferrarri, red Bull, MacLaren, Renault and the rest began a zero-carbon F1 challenge which ran in tandem with the normal F1 calendar.

Indy has no run offs, just Walls and catch fences

F1 is 170-180 mph

Indy is 220-225 mph

Scary in a country that manage to make most European car manufaturers jump through hoops to make the car they sold in the US safer by adding ugly bumper extensions ect ! Just look at the 911 with nasty over-riders.

and not forgetting Roland Ratzenberger

I'm glad someone remembers. I was going to post it myself, same circuit wasnt it ? even the same race although Ratzenberger was killed in qualifying or practice.

Even within F1 TV, it's always the high profile drivers that get mentioned, it kinda cheeses me off that he never gets a mention from F1 commentators.

Yup it was the same race - Roland died on the Saturday quail - Ayrton on the Sunday
