I normally have a very uneventful commute. But today witnessed a couple of very impatient drivers who overtook me and put me and other people in danger. If only they realised what could happen and also how just waiting a few seconds would make no difference to their journey time. However, I also witnessed the dancing woman which made me smile )
Overtake 1 in the morning.

Overtake 2 in the evening.

Dancing with the baby

I am currently that person in video 3. Dancing round room trying to get my son to sleep in the middle of the night.... Not fun!

The second one for me was the worst. The knobber was turning left in a few hundred metres or so anyhow, so why bother? Do their brains not work?

Here for rides.
I thought this survey from Direct Line/Brake quite interesting.

The road markings in 2 made me smile, a carriageway so narrow there isn't room to paint "SLOW" properly. In case you ride in Sussex you should be aware that, in these parts, "SLOW" means "overtake the cyclist now".

Of course if the motorcyclist had been hit the defence barrister would claim he had been acting dangerously, by being on the public road as a learner. It is a shame I didn't get the reg number, as I might have reported this to Road safe. Although I'm not convinced that this really achieves much. Has anyone a view on whether this worthwhile. I thought about reporting the cab driver to the cab firm, but I am sure they are all self employed, so I doubt anything would come of it.

very interesting, I think this report needs a thread of its own.
The main concluisons are that
99% of drivers claim to be average or better than average drivers.
69% admit to breaking traffic laws.
So next time you hear "all cyclists jumo the lights etc" just remind them that 69% of drivers admit to breaking the law too.

I was cycling at the weekend and we had some shocking overtakes. Funnily enough, there weren't any particularly close passes which seems to be the norm, but a lot of overtaking on the approach to bends, and overtaking into oncoming traffic making the cars on the other side have to slown down and/or move over to avoid getting clipped.
