Had a front dashcam in the car for a year or more. I've never bothered dobbing in law breakers (bar one) and its only there at all because Mrs D got it free with something or other.

However, that is about to change. Just driven back from town with some jerk in a van from a local firm right up my jacksy. I very gradually slowed down - if he did hit me there's less kinetic energy at play, less chance of me losing control, and it also gives the chump opportunity to overtake and go endanger someone else.

Alas, he didnt, and I spent a very uncomfortable 5 or 6 miles with him practically on tow.

Well, I've now ordered a rear dashcam and a hoofing great dashcam sticker for the rear window. If they don't take the hint from that then I'm going to make it my mission to send footage of tailgaters to their employers and the police. I'll even write my own MG11's to save the Dibble the bother themselves. I have become that enraged that I have vowed to become the Traffic Droid of tailgaters (but without the poor roadcraft and arguments in the street).

From now on I shall be known as The Endorser.

Bring it up here, I have driven all over our fine country and nowhere have I encountered tailgating as bad as here. Classic is right up the rear end of tractors at 24mph on a 7 mile straight road sticking their noses out into oncoming traffic.

I'm never right up the rear end of tractors!

WYP are looking at accepting dashcam footage in incidents, in original form.

Looking forward to the developing alter-ego and overly righteous nobbery.

Do you have a wee red card to wave at wrongdoers and a folding rule?
