Daughter starting Primary school in the morning

My Daughters first day in reception at the local school tomorrow. Ive got the day off work so will be able to take her along with my wife.

My daughter is so ready for it and has been asking since last week when is she going to school.

She was a little quiet when i got home from work this evening but is still looking forward to it.

Me on the other hand........

I must be missing something.

I am looking forward to it (mostly). I reckon we've done a pretty good job and he is definitely ready to go but your life revolves around your kids for so long it is going to be a bit weird.

Wow that was a while ago with mine now, I've only the one left in secondary school now. My eldest was ready for that first day and really looking forward to it! They always look so small walking to school when they first start. I was shopping with my eldest a couple of weeks ago and we bumped into her first primary school teacher and had a lovely chat. Time flies by.... Enjoy tomorrow, take that photo on the doorstep! And wait for them to tell you what they did in the evening!

I had a friend who used to get panic attacks before the start of every term and spend the day before throwing up violently. She would not go to school on the first day unless her dad held her hand and almost dragged her along.

It looked quite bad really, she was the headmistress.
