Best bet would be to give universal cycle centre a call

I was going by that 105 rear mech, I fitted one to my Carlton in 87-88 when it was run over by a lorry and I rebuilt it. I can't see anyone 'retro-fitting' an old mech onto a bike like that and at the time the 'New 105' was pretty good,

Would you say the 105 would of come with the bike or added was the 105sc mid end standard or lower end( not sure if dura ace was introduced ghen ) in early 90.s

The 'New 105' was on the edge of 'high end' when I bought mine in the late 80s, it was certainly the best 'bang for the buck' at the time, I'd say it was original to the bike but it could have been an upgrade if the frame is from the late 70s.
