There are 4 Bowie programmes on one after another and then repeats. Is it a special anniversary or what?

It's weird listening to ageing rockers - not just Bowie - doing their back catalogue live. The instrumental ability is usually still there, but the voices lose the range and power they had in their youth. The songs don't sound anything like the originals, but I suppose when we hear them we are actually hearing them from memory too.

He had his own teeth back then.
Ha ha - I noticed the sudden transition from 'all over the place' to 'Hollywood perfect'!

I hated this program as I have now been forced to listen to the original albums )World of David Bowie throught to New Americans, including the David Live album.

What really worries me is how many of the lyrics I could remember and sing along to!

... brings back a lot of memories.

What you should really worry about is when you listen to the same songs in a few years time and think to yourself - "Hmm, that music sounds familiar, I wonder where I've heard it before?", especially if your next thought is also "Hmm, that music sounds familiar, I wonder where I've heard it before?"

I remember seeing him at the Marquee Club in Wardour St, way back in 1966 when it was David Bowie and the Buzz.
Thought he was something special even then.

Really enjoyed the programmes

As a teenager in the 70s he was my all time favourite performer :becool:

Me and the Mrs stopped up till 2.30am watching them (and singing badly at the TV ) and then ended up buying a Bowie CD off Amazon "The Platinum Collection"
