Dawes red feather

Hi bought this bike with unknown model history.the Dawes name can be seen on bottom tube been de stickers.just put the bike on stand well I never there's a red feather on the seat tube it's been glossed over with white paint been trying to identify for ages and it was there always in a past life somebody decided to paint it out really happy now it's a red feather
It's stamped on rear dropouts 49?

Dawes Red Feather, every schoolboys dream back in the day. Dawes finest gas pipe but none the worse for that. What do you intend to do with it?
If you want to fully restore it Lloyds do replacement decals. Or you could just do an oily rag makeover.

Well I got the original handlebars pedals brakes only the crank is not original
Going to strip and clean and wax poss some decals

Get the gloss off , clean rebuild and use once safety related bits replaced . Oh and enjoy.
