I meant whenever something like a "bad" thing was going to happen it was way too obvious that it was coming.

For example, when the triffid killed his father and also at the end why did nobody shoot Torrence? Was it because they needed him alive so that in the final scenes he could be got by the Triffids by any chance? A plot device but not doesn't stand up to scrutiny.

As it stands the story is set up so it can be continued and if they do I hope they do better next time. The subject matter has great potential, I just thought the script didn't deliver. I watched both episodes hoping it would get better, but it didn't.
