My interesting fact is that I found out that you can buy a special oil called Bore Oil that you shove into the bore of your bagpipes (or other woodwind instrument) it not prevents cracking and warping but also improves the sound with regular use - I am having trouble with that claim!

So there you are, if you're having trouble with the sound of bagpipes and want to improve the sound you can treat them to some Bore Oil - or shoot the player - either works

Apparently the Germans would not shoot pipers in WW2, as they considered them to be mad.
