Don't you just hate it when you have a few days off work and you get ill?!
I was feeling a bit rough on Friday, but had an internal interview so I struggled through. I didn't get the job, but being the good team player I am, I dosed myself up on lemsip max flu and went to do stock take yesterday.
Which leaves me facing my three, well deserved days off, with a rotten head cold and aching joints.
Wah!!!

:hugs:

I find getting ill just as annoying now I'm retired as it was when I was working, but I don't miss having to go into work when I'd rather be in bed

I know how you feel.

I had a fun weekend planned to spend with our son especially considering the weather was amazing.

What have I actually done for the last 5 days.....,been stuck in the house was chronic diarrhoea. And I'm taking every hour for spells of that. Still no real sign of improvement but been to docs today.

Missed our son playing his first hockey match, which he was brilliant in apparently, potential to be out on his bike and his football match at the weekend.

I'm feeling a little better today, if I ignore the tinnitus, and I think I'll make it to the hairdressers later :-)
@Captain Scarlet I hope you're better soon.

My man flu has gone, but like you I've got very noticeable tinnitus, I suffer a little bit with tinnitus normally but the man flu has made it a lot worse. I'm also full of muck and rubbish, my Yoga this morning was interrupted several times by me having to reach for a hanky and have a clear out.

Could be a ear infection, it can 'track' across from your sinus's to the ear quite easily.

Yes its quite possible, but I suspect its more to do with the amount of muck and rubbish kicking round my system at the moment.

I normally come down with a cold just before our family summer holiday and Christmas..
I can empathise with this it always seems to happen to me, but I think mine & possibly yours is a stress related issue, you know you can relax & then the mind & body just takes over & crashes, takes me 2-3 days before I feel 'normal'

There is a difference between annual leave and sick leave

If you are too ill to have worked then you can claim the leave back

I have just done this with one of my staff

Weeks leave, saw doctor on Monday and signed off

Produced fit note and leave reinstated
