I have applied for a job at the HMRC and have got an interview.
I received an email with an attachment which has completely baffled me. It reads
"From 17th June 2013 registered bodies will no longer be provided with a copy of the certificate and only the applicant will receive the certificate. This means that from this date it will be your responsibility to provide evidence of this certificate to Civil Service Resourcing to clear your pre-employment checks.
HM Revenue and Customs will not employ you until the DBS Check has been completed and the result notified to us. A decision will be made about your suitability for employment as a result of the information obtained.

You may wish to use the DBS update service which holds your certificate online so that (with your permission) companies can view your certificate instantly and reduce any delay in offers of employment. Please note that this will be at your own cost but you can find further information at https://www.gov.uk/dbs-update-service . If you decide to use this service, once you have applied, please contact us at the email address above, quoting ‘DBS update Service’

Is an form or something sent to me then I get a certificate I produce to them or something? I am lost completely.
