If they are anywhere as good as the wheels he makes and the advice & service he gives then they'll be top notch.

My DCR's are on Novatec hubs so I can't comment directly. He seemed very diligent when I dealt with him and it wouldn't surprise me if he had taken time in selecting whoever it is makes his hubs (they'll be off the shelf from some no-name distributer at a guess). It's possible it was done to secure a better delivery stream as Novatec were flaky last year and I don't know if they've got better (last year they were concentrating more on complete wheelsets than components according to the people I talked to.)

As a small business working on reputation I'd doubt he could afford to sell properly poor quality kit, but equally I don't think he's been doing them long so they might have longevity issues. Aren't they at the budget end of what you can choose?

Eventually went for Archetype rims on the dcr hubs, all black hubs, brass nipples/spokes. 24/28 @ianrauk i can confirm the hubs are silent.

They took 3 weeks from ordering to arriving, I took them for a spin tonight and they are comfy, no hint of brake rub when pushing hard out of the saddle. I have conti gps4000 23mm on them and they were easy to fit.

I'll post some pics later
