We like positive news, well done Mort minor. Having many years ago recieved my degree results I can understand the rightful pride, relief and elation she is feeling now, and I certainly didn't get a first.

Fantastic news! I’m assuming that she is not a mature student and, if so, has shown great maturity in not wasting this opportunity at a young age, where there are many things that can turn your head and distract you from the main aim.

On a similar note, I am also very proud of my daughter, who has decided to go the apprenticeship route after A Levels and has been offered 3 of the 4 jobs that she interviewed for.

She has accepted one with the same company I work for, who are an excellent organisation to work for. It’s a great weight off my mind.

Maybe I should upgrade to a tandem for the commute?
