In your dreams mate!!

Seriously what a load of sexist twaddle and if it's a publicity stunt then that really is fecking sad.

Sorry, I couldn't find the emoticon for "tongue-in-cheek response, not to be taken as indicative of moral/political/religious outlook"...

AFS regardless of NY or not it's the phwoaar look at that woman attitude that us rife on these boards and in larger society that is just knuckle dragging behaviour.

If it was a publicity stunt then that makes me sad as it does both men and women a disservice

There is a biological imperative that makes a man look at a pretty Lady.

Jimmy, I do understand what you said was tongue in cheek, it just becomes tiresome. I get annoyed about the casual jokey sexism. Primarily because it pervades daily life for women and actually can be quite annoying when you're subjected to it in daily life.

I don't want this thread to become about that but men and women are treated very differently.

AFS I've gone through this debate enough times on this board to be bored by it!
Biological imperative does not equate to being sworn at and told that you're a ****ing bitch when you politely tell someone you're not interested.Biological imperative also does not make men honk at women in their cars. Biological imperative also does not mean that the pretty lady has a smidgen of interest in you.
I'm not referring to biological imperative when people start treating others as a block of meat, to be consumed. Society allows the gendered differences to continue. It's not a case of men and women are just like that. It's treating people with respect and subtle comments jokey or not belie a vast difference in how people treat each other.

I have never said that any of the above is valid. I have simply said that "looking" is natural.

Looking is natural, it's the stuff beyond it which isn't good. It's the jokey comments that can and have descended into 'she's fit, I'd do her' kind if comments.

It just shows a lack of respect and subtle confirms that women are just to be looked at and are primarily something to be had. It isn't nice.
It's a thin edge of a wedge and it's so casual and ingrained that it gets boring. It doesn't mean that I don't feel disappointed everytime I hear, read or come across it.

Before any starts, I'm not 'offended' just pointing out let's not be lazy with this.

Ps AFS

I am not criticising your idea that looking is natural, I am criticising the premise that you base it on and which people sometimes carry further. Biology does not always explain the way people behave. It allows those conclusions of ie men are like that which in itself is either incredibly self serving and sexist as well. It doesn't allow for changes to pervasive negative behaviours.

Personally, I look forward to the day when cars are fully electric with room-temperature superconducting motors and fully robotic so there's no need to drive at all. You just get in the car and tell it where you want to go, and it takes you there silently. Can you imagine how calm, peaceful and clean our country would be with silent-running zero-emission cars that drove themselves?

Beat me to it. I foresee the day when an ipod is a car. We could call it, oh, I dunno....icar.

The premise is sound. It is extrapolating additional behaviour as biology from that premiss that is unsound.

Haha the iCar!!

I'd worry if Apple owned it too but you never know in this work. Would apps be available for every location?!

Photos please, or it didn't happen...

Here you go. As Cunoblein says, it looks like a PR stunt as the female is a marketing bod for a Dutch bike company
