That would lead to horrendous confirmation bias though, and you end up thinking we're living in some sort of warzone, when in reality everybody's only trying to get to work.Only an idea, if you dont like dont comment.
That sign means "priority over oncoming vehicles" not "legal right of way".Riding through a pinch point where one lane is deliberately blocked off, an oncoming car decided not to bother giving me my legal right of way. That or he may have genuinely misjudged just how little room there was for me to cycle through without becoming dead.
Either way I ****in hate these dangerous safety features councils love installing in built up areas. See attached a google image for what I mean. Even the parked car is a replica of the situation, minus the oncoming car.

You are supposed to cycle through them on the rubbish strewn 'cycle path' you know (then stop to fix the multiple p#######s thus incurred about 4 hundred yards further on.Riding through a pinch point where one lane is deliberately blocked off, an oncoming car decided not to bother giving me my legal right of way. Agreed, they're not the best. And having a road sign that needs explanatory text beneath it suggests the design of road sign could be better.Oh I see. It is only recommended that the oncoming vehicles stop, but there is no requirement for them to prevent a possible head on.
Legal right of way or priority, I still think these pinch points are BS.
Its a bad idea, sorry. Not really was hoping to learn something from it i.e how to avoid conflict.
If there is anyway to avoid it in the first place everything afterall is an education.
The other morning there was a fella in a BMW (probably nothing to do with his on road attitude) who when impatiently sitting in traffic cut into the bus lane in front of me and undertook the traffic through one set of lights. I caught up with him at the next junction where he was flicking his way through facebook. I have this on cam. Should I do anything about it?..
