Dear Dave, I've already had quite enough of the wetness and general gloominess thank you and another few months of the same simply doesn't bear thinking about. SO, please muster all the remaining Royal Navy vessels and get them to drag the British mainland south a few hundred miles. To roughly where the Canary Islands are looks good. If the remainder of the British Isles want to come too, they're welcome: I'm sure you can rustle up a fisheries protection vessel or a few rowing boats. Ta ever so,

I doubt the few remaining vessels would be sufficient to tow a small rock

That first sentence had me thinking you were worried about policy and the build up to the General Election

Been a great year weatherwise so far. Winter/Early Spring in N England was mild and not particularly wet. Only one snowy day in Glossop which is almost unheard of (sorry Davina McCall, that was the day you rode through our little town on your charity ride). June arrives.....BANG....great weather all the way through to mid August. Warm, sunny, not too hot. A couple of wet and wild weeks at the end of August then....BANG....fabulous September. Warm, sunny, practically no rain. October/November nice and mild. Bit wet but that's normal.

Stop moaning and get out on your bike, that would be my (and DC's) advice

Dear David stop saying this is a policy we are bringing in then promptly bottle out.
Maggie would call you a wet...and be right.
You have no bottle you wa*ker. Spineless is the best way to describe you.

I thought it was very mild myself but is there any weather unsuitable for cycling?
