I'm delighted that you like central Scotland so much that you have moved in permanently. However. enough! I could list about 10 dry days this year for my commute. Its been proper soaking since January I had 2 good days last week then more heavy rain. I need a run of dry days to restore my love for the pedals.

Boris did a survey of London commuters.

Out of 500 or so annual trips to work and back with an average distance of about 3 miles, the average london commuter could expect to be rained on 12 times per annum.

I hate the rain but I admire your determination to keep going mate, I would have snapped the bike in half if it had been me!!!

This morning's commute was the 12th rainy one out of 119 journeys.
So we've now had our lot I hope

2013 I had 44 rainy journeys out of 403

This stat is nothing new, came across a vid from the 80's quoting the same sort of figures. I remember riding in the rain quite a bit last year, though not commutes.

My mate posted pictures of him enroute to the Cleish TT last night, not suprisingly it was cancelled

bar humbug springs to mind... I'm needing wellies right now just to get to my bike and I have to go out for a dr's appointment!

And no, my gutters are not blocked. It was simply too much rain. front door is underwater, and 4 of the bikes are under that water you can see.
Time to WTFU (female form of MTFU in case you are wondering) and get on with it... already had a shower today!

Nothing wrong with two showers (or more) a day, at least the natural ones are totally free (well apart from the extra maintenance).
