Must have upped there game. I guess they are no longer London exclusive but I doubt it's been for long.,

Edit: 30 major cities or towns as of a few months ago.
The usual targets are the towns and cities of 100k+ population. If you want the best services then move to one of those places!

Indeed, live out in the countryside don't be expecting the best from most networks especially indoor coverage.... Unlike what some hair products say your not worth it

As with anything it is built around a business case; if there are enough people to repay the costs of installing the service then it will go in. The trouble is none of us like seeing roads and fields dug up to install a new cable and it is extremely costly to do it. The upshot is that consumers in rural areas suffer. Some of the initial benefits of 4G were that handsets that had a signal would propagate that signal out to areas that were not covered by the mast (developed with places like Africa in mind), sadly that utopian design ideology has not carried through to the service that is now being deployed.

Weird though it sounds you might actually be too close! The antennas will be optimised to provide maximum coverage and 30 metres in the shadow of the mast might miss the reception. Sadly there's not a lot you can do about that, unless you are handy with a spanner and can tilt the antenna yourself.

Slight movement is sure to nark someone off

I'm currently with EE for my phone and Three for my iPad. Although EE shows 4G far more often than Three, there's little difference in actual speed most of the time. I can watch netflix on either.

I'm off up north soon and preparing to leave my main phone and ipad at home. At my dad's house, I can't make a phone call indoors let alone receive email. And it's the same at my second favourite pub up there, want a taxi and you have to walk to the bottom of the car park (and this is the Pennines so it's raining) to get a signal.

However, every cloud has a silver lining and so when I leave work saying "Sorry but I'm not contactable" and they say "Ok we'll only call you if it's urgent" I get to say "No really. I'm not contactable."
