Debian laser printer

I want to get a new printer for my Debian/Linux set-up. I'm fed up with cheap 'n' cheerful inkjet printers with their expensive refills. So, I'd like to get a b/w laser. Anyone any experience of a Linux/Debian laser printer?

Hp printers are very well supported in linux, a lot of distro's ship with HPLIP. This site may help you

I managed to get my Lexmark going via CUPS, so there's hope!
