December has been cancelled!

I have not ridden in December yet due to a chest cold and now being on leave for two weeks, should be able to commute again the week before Christmas, then on leave again in between Christmas and new year.

I'm taking a break, but not by choice. Been bothered by sciatica for months, except on the bike, but had to stop that as well when I hit the deck three weeks ago on black ice. Been like v.p****d off, having to drive or take lifts. Spent today in hospital having epidurals in two prolapsed lumbar bits, so am now hobbling on stick. Boy 1 has pinched my ice bike to do his paper round, along with all my best stuff, the parasite.

The upside is that Codeine seems to go very well with Old Speckled Hen (and it doesnt say that on either label).

Lord knows when I'll be riding again - Monday is MY target.

I'm looking forward to a wek and a bit off at christmas. Getting fed up with my enforced bike lay off. Hope I can get out this weekend for a an hour or two.

UPDATE!
Fed up with taking December off....Normal shifts start again on Wednesday....Back on the bike.
I've driven in the last 4 shifts and hate it! Just don't like being in the car, even though we now have two cars and I could drive in all the time!
