Sorry, I can't make this. I shall be in India. Where it will be warm. And sunny. And not wet. Nor windy......

Enjoy all!

Blimey.... now there's a challenge...you are 600 behind Stu.
You are going to have to push it a bit old son.
+1. I am in no way having a go or being ultra-competitive when I say that'll be tough. If you make it, I'll be the first to congratulate you. However, the weather is unlikely to be favourable all the way through December, for any of us. And it'll have to be more than 800 miles between now and 2359 on December 31. My mileage is going to drop a lot, pressure overtime starts next Monday so that'll be commuting only for a while, but I still managed nearly 300 last December. I'm expecting to beat that comfortably.

And how much time have you spent on an exercise bike when you could have done actual miles on an actual bike? You'd be well ahead of me (and probably quite a few others) if you had....

indeedy mate...what a waste of good (real) cycling time

Ian and I did london to southend in 2 1/2 hours over the summer, we won't be going that fast so this will probably be the easiest 100 of the year

i'd say 3 hours there 4 coming back if we stop for tea at the bird sanctuary

start time? 8 or 9

food, see what's open when we get there, can stop at Grays on the way back or the B/S

8am at t'usual place, HPC.

As Dave knows I really enjoy the ride to Southend. I will probably join you for the outward but may not for the "and back" bit due to an afternoon commitment.

Dave - realistically what time do you think we would be back to London by? 3ish?

If it's an 8am start then I'll ride down and meet you at HPC as it saves money that I currently don't have.
