ah, so i could use my spare foam tips which I bought for my E2Cs...

Actually, I had a quick look as I know there was one model of Shure that uses a different fitting. Turns out it's the E2C.;) The rest of the Shure range uses the same as the Westone.

I use a set of Nokia BH-503 bluetooth headphones, playing music from my phone. Keeps the ears warm, and doesn't prevent you from hearing anything in the traffic.

Despite their generally so-so reviews I find the Apple iPod headphones best for on the bike. They don't seem to generate the wind noise that I've experienced with other headsets.
I'd never wear my Sures on a bike though - they isolate external sound WAY too much. I also get a hell of a lot of noise from the cables. To be honest the Sures only work for me if I'm not moving.

Just goes to show that it's very hard to give or take advice on earbud headphones though - I think the shape of people's ear canal has a big effect on how well they work. For instance, the Sennheisers mentioned above sound really weedy and bassless in my ears.

I love my Shure e2c 'phones. On my second pair - the wire split open near the earpiece o the first set in just under a year, but they replaced them immediately and the next pair are still going strong after three years.

They even manage to make an iPod sound half-decent, though you can't beat the combintaion of e2c and my old iRiver iHP-120 MP3 player. The sound from that thing was incredibly good.

You might still manage to get a new pair of e2cs from AdvancedMP3Players.

Koss PortaPro

Under £20 - simply outstanding sound quality, fold up small and very comfortable (cannot get on with in-ear phones)
