I am alone in excessively disliking the way some parents appear to treat their babies as decorative objects?
Saw a baby in a pram yesterday with pierced ears and then bumped into a friend whose daughter had dressed her baby daughter with one of those headband things with a bow on and little boy with a small white flat cap.
Grrrr!!

Fashion accessories not for the baby, for the mother

I put my babies in amusing/adorable all in one coat things that made them look like a teddy, and a velvet santa onesie. Then there were all those little hats with animal faces/ears. I make no apologies for this.

You don't want to watch an episode of Toddlers and Tiaras then
I dislike it too...the most my babies had to tell others if they were male or female, was a coloured blanket!

My problem is that there is a very fine line between this and child pornography

You are not alone, it isn't cute some just look crass or tacky. Treat them as small humans not dolls to dress up in silly outfits

one of my close friends is ginger and she's got a ginger baby. I found some funny hats recently that are in the shape of a carrot top, wanted to but one for friends baby, but didn't know if it would be appreciated!

I never understood the rush to get them out of baby grows, when mine were little, and hated to see very small babies dressed in jeans and trainers when they couldn't even walk.

Now some seem to have reverted and so they have invented the adult baby grow!

Headbands? pah! You want Girlie Glue...

http://girlieglue.com/

I look forward to them bringing out Guy Glue, for sticking matchbox cars to boy babies...

Why shouldn't girls benefit from Girlie Glue and matchbox cars
