Defy 3 or Cube Peloton?

Hi all
I'm very new to road cycling and am about to buy my first entry level bike after a few year on a mtb.
I have narrowed it down to either the Giant Defy 3 2015 or the Cube Peloton 2015.
Any advice greatly received.

Cube Peloton but only because this is the one on my "to buy one day" list.

I haven't ridden either but to be honest I'm not sure I would be experienced enough to know if one rides better than the other just going up and down a car park outside my local shop..

I'm asking more from a spec point of view from people who have been into cycling for a while.

I expect they'll be very similar to ride, both a more relaxed endurance geometry, but the Defy has Sora groupset vs Claris on the Peleton which is the next level up and gets you a couple more gears. Unless you really prefer the looks of the Cube, assuming the same price, the Giant is better value in terms of components

Just make sure you get your shop to advise on the sizing for you and do a basic set up

I'm looking at a few bikes, namely a Defy 2 and a Peloton Pro
