Deodorant issue

Some deodorants smell worse than the sweat and the others just mask it, a good bath or shower fixes both.

I took a car full of male teenagers to the bowling alley recently for son1's birthday bash. It took about two weeks for the smell of Lynx to be usurped by the usual smell of skanky dog.

I've always used baby Talc, I've never used deodorant.

Yeah, I'd imagine that deodorant is a real killer on nappy rash!

I would imagine it is, but as there's been over 60 years passed since I last suffered with it I really can't remember.

Liberal spray of GT85 under each arm seems to do the trick, and far cheaper than Linx "stun an elephant from a mile away" pit spray

I declined pointing out that my husband is straight and so has no need of their product.

My wife has a funny way of applying scent: She sprays a cloud in front of herself and then steps forward into it. It looks utterly barmy, but it keeps the scent subtle.

Subtlety is not practised by today's youth. I had to convince all my offspring to hold back on the pong. The youngest is still learning, but he will get the message.

There sems to be some sort of peer acceptance that it is cool to go out so doused in Lynx or similar that your presence is announced for a hundred yards in each direction. It is a horrid practice.

Need I add that it wouldn't have happened in my day?
