with Derek some of the storey lines were priceless and some you had to watch all the programmes my favourite was when he was learning to ride a bike,not every ones cup of tea granted,but if you do take time to watch the series there are is some good writing..

Derek the character is brilliant, the wife works with autistic adults, and one of the chaps in the home could have had Derek based on him, the same face twitches, flicking the hair, and has a fantastic sense of humour.
Its a brilliant series, although series 1 was slightly better than 2 i thought.

I seem to working backwards to every one else , the office was OK . life's to short was fantastic and Derek was brilliant.

Its very subtle comedy, not the goby trash you get on Mock the week etc
