I was sitting in a café across the street from the café where Hemingway used to drink when he was in Paris, it was 1968 and sitting outside anywhere in Paris at that time was inspirational or scarey depending on your political bent. I ordered a coffee, noir and the apronned garcon went off to fetch it when suddenly a pot plant splashed on the pavé having been thrown from an upstairs window, it's target ran on a bit then turned to say "merde" and stuff like that before sprinting off to avoid the bedside lamp that followed. The coffee was expensive but the entertainment was priceless. Just then a dustbin was set alight and a thousand people came down the narrow street chanting.
Oh yes, THE ONE WORD - storyteller.
