No. They essentially spot-weld it back with a laser. There's no cutting into the eyeball, the laser fires pulses through your pupil and you'll be off home later the same day.

No further treatment needed as it should heal by itself in a few days or so. My pupils are still dilated and I am having to wear my shades until the effects of the numerous eye drops dissipate. Also been given the all clear to continue riding from tomorrow. )
