Well im a 30 waist but i have 24 " thighs round the upper bit .
Nightmare for normal clothes shopping as most trousers tend to be skinny leg cut and swmbo bought me an off the peg suit for a funeral and had to have the trousers altered as no one sells trousers that small .
Yeah, jeans are a nightmare to buy. Any trousers really, although trousers can be a little more forgiving, but not too much.

Alright Chris,
I am also a 34" waist and the sizing says that is a medium as you say.
So cycling clothes being what they are I bought the large and they fit well.
The only problem I can see from buying the correct size is most regular cyclists have big thighs compared to waist size, that's the case for me anyway.
If you're a 34" waist and have normal sized legs I'd say get the medium, but bigger legs go for large.
I once bought a Rapha team Sky Jersey in my size(M) but had to change it for XXL before it would fit. Race fit they call, think.
Hope this helps a bit mate.

Thanks mate I went for medium in the end..... I have normal size legs. Ordered yday they bin dispatched so hopefully get them soon.

Some really good deals on dhb shorts at the mo, I bought some of these http://www.wiggle.co.uk/dhb-vaeon-roubaix-pro-padded-bib-short/ last year at close to full price & they are possibly the best shorts I've ever had, so bought another pair at half price :okay:
It appears I'm now a 'platinum' customer (don't know how that happened ) so get 12% off full price items, which makes the flashlight shorts a tad over £35 for 2 pairs....... so tempting
