Owow, this thread has got a little out of hand and I've only been AFForum for a day.
The reason I look down is to check the road surface for bad bits and to check my speed, as I'm sure most others do, so </discussion> on that front
Excusing the questionable RLJ (which it wasn't, I was far enough back to clip in and roll over the ASL on amber... which is still naughty, but that's not the issue I have). Tomorrow I'll put my 0.45x converter on and post it if you need proof of this.
The shout, as I said wasn't meant as a "get out of my way", but more a "this light's turning green and traffic's moving, so heads up", the point of the topic is would this be misconstrued?
And yes it could be misconstrued by pedestrians as they were crossing enmasse, and a cyclist instead of slowing and waiting for a safe gap lets his presence known and keeps going. Even if I have the lights on my side, ill give, its the peaceful solution I think.
