Did I invent commuting?

We used to go everywhere by bike but not "commuting" as we lived too close to the School and it was easier to walk.

My first "Commute" was in 1975 to Papworth Hospital where I was doing job experience, and then in 1976 when I worked on a farm

I used one of these for my paper-round in 1963. Main problem was splinters.
