Did my first 100 miler yesterday

After completing the Titchmarsh 50 mile local event on Sunday the plan was to try for 80 and take in some Fenland roads in prep for a 100 at a later date. Due to my usual rubbish navigating by the time I got to Oundle I'd hit 80 with 16 to go. A detour round a local village and I got the magic number (for me). Those last 20 were a real slog my average was 14mph - so chuffed

On my last century (only my 3rd!) I'd cut short my planned route a bit because of bad weather, nearly home with 9 miles to go, so had to make a bit of a detour to make the magic number!

Well done Mojo; sounds like you were very close to me last night I was in Oundle at around 7:30pm. I try to avoid the Fens myself they are not to my taste and IIRC my ride was Peterbororough-Marholm-Stamford-Ketton-Harringworth-Southwick-Oundle-Fotheringhay-Elton-Peterborough.
