It's been a great summer down here in the south .....I almost feel apologetic when I see your weather forecast.

It's even worse where I am going tomorrow! (The Oban area.) Soggy Scottish ride reports will follow once the wifi has dried out.

You actually made me wonder whether it is just my pessimistic nature that made me think we'd had a bad summer here. I just checked back to the start of June and on the days in my diary where I mentioned the weather (most of them), we have had a total of about 2 weeks worth of hot, sunny days and 2 weeks worth of warm days with sunny spells. That leaves about 8 weeks worth of less pleasing weather. So, yes, not a brilliant summer, but not an awful one either!

Back to work at my 'proper' office next week after 9 months. Full time. Although the buggers moved me from the window - that person will pay...

PS my new desk wouldn't have been able to go there, and its at the edge of the office where I won't feel silly stood up (sit stand desk).

This is certainly the case for my Mum and Dad. They enjoy getting free travel on the bus just after the threshold and annoying the snooty old gits from the posh suburb that had to pay...

Back to work next Monday after 12 working days audit, one day at the office and 12 working days (if you include the bank holiday) on annual leave. I hope I can sit on my chair when I get in. There's a habit of it being used as storage when I'm away.

The cheeky Gits had the audacity to be out driving on roads on bank holiday Monday too. They can do that on any day. Wrinkly malingerers.
